Please join our GIS Manager, Helen Paris, GISP for her presentation on Thursday, September 7th at 10:15am at TSDOS! The Transmission & Substation Design & Operation Symposium (TSDOS) Conference is held every September in Frisco, Texas. Ms. Paris will be presenting on Preparing and Executing Disaster Response from Remote Locations: A GIS-Based Approach.
Her presentation will cover how GIS-based tools can improve disaster response for utilities following significant weather events such as hurricanes, tornados, and ice storms. These flexible tools include mobile mapping applications and dashboards that can be implemented to remotely support field crews, engineers, and utility companies responding to storms and other natural disasters.
Ms. Paris previously presented on this topic at BigSky GeoCon this past April alongside team member Curtis DeVault, GISP. The audience commended them for the information given on this topic and we are excited to see Helen represent us and GIS on stage once again this year.
Pickett has attended TSDOS for the past several years and is a proud sponsor of the conference. To see the presentation overview and conference agenda, click here.
