Pickett would like to invite you to visit our booth at the SEE Conference in Washington, D.C.! We’ll be at booth 214 on June 26th and 27th.
This year, we’re excited to share with you a new technology advancement for Pickett. We’ll be showcasing our state-of-the-art virtual reality glasses, designed and tested by our very own GIS department. The virtual reality glasses will be available to wear and try out at the conference, giving the viewer a 360 degree look inside of a substation. In keeping with one of our core values of safety first, it is our hope that these glasses can be utilized for future projects to prepare the team for substation visits ahead of time. The glasses will offer our team the ability to familiarize themselves with the substation in advance, allowing them to view danger zones and pinpoint key features within the substation. In turn, this higher level of preparedness will optimize time on-site, posing less risk and more productivity.
In addition to the virtual reality exhibit at our booth, we will have staff on site representing our newly expanded service lines, which include GIS, substation and access roads. As a single point provider of engineering, surveying, and aerial LiDAR and mapping solutions, we’ll also share our abilities to merge all departments for all-inclusive service offerings that cater to electric utilities.
A sampling of our services includes transmission line design, substation design, structure and foundation design, routing and siting, EMF analysis, design and permitting of construction access roads, field engineering, shop drawing reviews and coordination of vendor materials, structural analysis, drainage calculations, and so much more.
